The Authorization Letter

Below is a picture of the original letter William Schelter got from the Energy Science and Technology Software Center. Click the image to see a larger version. Here is a transliteration of the image to plain text.

Izic

Izic is a plotting package using the ZIC library, developed at INRIA. It is now years out of date but still has some very interesting capabilities. There is a Maxima interface to Izic, but it has not been tested in years. The source code is in the module izic in cvs. Also available:

Proof of concept screenshot of izic on Linux.

Linux self contained binary for Izic. Note: The color 3d graphics won't work unless you are in low color mode in X.

Presentations

Our project leader James Amundson created these presentations about Maxima. Probably a little dated now, but lots of good info.

XREF diagrams

XREF is a lisp tool to determine relationships in Lisp source code. These plots were created using the output from XREF and a program called graphviz. Not particularly useful, but interesting in that they display the complexity of the source code.
